Concert for Ukraine

During a pleasant evening full of classical music, together with the Virtuosi Brunenses Orchestra and all the guests, we managed to raise 31,000 CZK.

A benefit concert to help people fleeing the war in Ukraine took place in the hall of the Social Center of the Brno-Bystrc district, which lent its cultural premises for this event to our foundation completely free of charge. The whole evening was accompanied by the actor and moderator Miroslav Šimůnek. The guests were provided with a magical musical experience by the Brno orchestra Virtuosi Brunenses under the direction of the conductor Karel Mitáš. The great soloists Linda Ballová, Jana Hrochová, and Jan Šťáva were also present, and the concert featured such gems of classical music as Habanera from Carmen, Sinfonia Nabucco by Verdi, or Catalog Aria from Don Giovanni.

Our foundation donated exactly 31,000 CZK to the company Podané ruce (Helping hands) for material assistance to people affected by the war. All proceeds went exactly where it was most needed at the time, to the Slovak-Ukrainian border crossing Ubľa. Blankets and mats were purchased, as well as bottled water, legumes, flour, and non-perishable food.
